Beas Kund Trek

The one of the most popular short trek passes through Solang Valley, the trek meander through, beautiful mountain scapes. Solang Valley is very popular ski resort in winter and its on 'must visit' item of any visitor to Manali for its lush green beauty full of alpine flowers during June to August. The trekking trails runs along the Beas River which originates from Beas Kund (Lake). Beas Kund is also base for climbing peaks like Ladakhi and friendship peak.

Day 01: Manali - Dhundi

Arrive at Manali that start driving to reach Dhund vaya Solang Nullah (2840 mt./ 14 km drive). One of the most beautiful meadow in the region, Solang Nullah is the starting point to many trek during summer and Himachal Pradesh's best ski slope. After Lunch at Solang Nala Further drive to Dhundi which is 8km far from here. Set up camp for overnight stay.

Day 02: Dhundi - Beas Kund

The today's trek (6 km) is steep. One has to trek over loosely held boulders and morains of a dying glacier. Beas Kund (3540 mt) is a small holy lake with a small meadow beside it. The legend is that Rishi Vyash meditated here. We set-up camp here. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 03: Beas Kund

Free Day at Beas Kund. Optional : Trek up to Tentu Pass (4995 mt.). This is a arduous stretch and heavenly glaciated. From the pass you can see Kulu valley and Hanuman Tibba (5932 mt.) at close distance. Return to the camp for overnight stay.

Day 04: Beas Kund - Manali

After breakfast trek down to Dhundi/Solan nalla.Than after proceed to Manali by Jeeps. Check into hotel for overnight stay.

 

 


 

Day 05 : Depart Manali

After Breakfast dparture fro the onward destination.

The nearest airport for Manali is Bhuntar, 50 km ( Approx.) from Manali.

By Rail

The nearest Railway Station for Manali are at Chandigarh (310 km.) and Ambala (355 km).

By Road

The distance from:

Delhi to Manali is 585 km & Journey duration is 14 Hrs.

Chandigarh to Manali is 350 Kms & Journey duration is 10 Hrs.
