Day 01 : Arrive Srinagar
Met on arrival at airport by a
representative and transfer to deluxe houseboat. Afternoon free for personal
activities. In the evening Shikara ride on dal lake to enjoy the sunset. Over
night at the houseboat.
Day 02 : Srinagar/ Gulmarg/ Srinagar
Take a day trip to Gulmarg, "The Valley of flowers". Located at an altitude of
2730 mts, Gulmarg is a nature lover's paradise. A cable car ride on Gondola will
provide you with magnificent views of Pir Panjal and Himalayan Mountain ranges.
Return back to Srinagar. Overnight in Houseboat.
Day 03: Srinagar
Morning after breakfast, take a tour to historic Mughal Gardens, "Nishat
& Shalimar". Situated on the eastern shore of Dal Lake, Mughal kings spend most
of their time in these gardens, amid the staggered terraces and tranquil pools.
Afternoon optional tour of Old city of Kashmir, visiting Jamia Mosque. Return
back to Houseboat for overnight stay.
Day 04: Srinagar/ Sonmarg/ Srinagar
Full day excursion to Sonmarg which is the most beautiful drive from
Srinagar. On the way you stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonmarg
2690 mtrs (meadow of gold). One can ride on horse to visit Thajiwas glacier
where snow remains round the year and Sonmarg is also known as the gateway of
ladakh. In the evening return to houseboat. Overnight at houseboat.
Day 05: Depart Srinagar :
After breakfast departure for the onward destinations.
By Air: The domestic airport in Srinagar is located at a distance of 14 kms from the city and operates regular flights to major Indian cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
By Rail: The nearest Railway Station is in Jammu, which serves as the key Railhead for the entire region. Major Indian cities like: Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai are linked to Jammu by rail.
By Road: An extensive network of road covers Srinagar and connects it to important cities in Jammu and Kashmir and North India, namely: Chandigarh (630 km), Delhi (876 km).
