Day-1: Rishikesh – Haridwar
Tourists flock to go sightseeing in Rishikesh. Popular visits include Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan and Ashrams. Located on the shores of the holy River Ganges is a very prestigious Hindu pilgrimage site. Visitors can take in Sadhus, Pilgrims, Ashrams & Temples all around. Haridwar is found at the foothills of the lower Himalayan Shivalik Mountains, on the banks of River Ganges (Ganga), & is an important pilgrimage site for the Hindus.
Where the Ganges exits the mountains and connects to the plains, Haridwar is the first large town on the plains. The Ganges changes from rapid currents and becomes more quiet and calm here. Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the Trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma.
As well as being a major Shaktipeeths throughout the ages, Haridwar has cleared the mind, the body and the soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning center for arts, science & culture. Day-2: Delhi – Mussoorie
Mussoorie, a popular hill-station, situated at a heady altitude of 2005 meters. In 1820, Captain Young of the British army was struck by the spectacular beauty of this place and decided to reside there. Following its discovery, this hill station continued to develop as a center of education, business, natural beauty, and tourism.
Mussoorie is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun District of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometers from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range. Bhatta Falls is a particularly welcoming sight, it is found 3 km away from Mussoorie. Mussoorie Lake is also a popular site to relax which is located on the same route.

Tourists in Mussoorie will find the budget and efficient way to get around is to opt for a bus system or cycle rickshaws. Cycle rickshaws for traveling within the city may cost around 20 rupees. Although during peak hours roads may get especially crowded. Tourists, for the most part, you will want to walk around to take it the sights. Shopping malls are closed to most vehicles.
Day-3: Barkot
Hanuman Chatti is reachable by a 2-hour drive. Tourists can enjoy breakfast before departing for Barkot. Along the way, they have the opportunity to visit Kempty Falls, before arriving at Barkot where there are many hotels to stay in.
The closest railway station to Barkot are Dehradun 167 kilometers and rishikesh 190 kilometers. Frequent bus services are their from dehradu and rishikesh. From Barkot to yamnotri is 40 kilometers. BY Bus one can reach till hanuman chatti and from their by jeep till Phool chatti. From their tourists can trek of 13 kilometers by foot until yamnotri.
The road head for Yamunotri is bridged by bus services of Samyukt Rotation Yatayat Vyavstha Samiti to Rishikesh, Haridwar and other large centers in the region.
Barkot offers some amazing tourist attractions. Yamunotri and also Gangotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath make up the Char Dham pilgrimage. It is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Surya Kund is quite popular with pilgrims. It is thought that taking the ritual dip in the Surya Kund washes away all sins. The place is an ideal travel spot for tourists with an interest in temples and pilgrimage and also provides adventure activities. Barkot offers a lot of opportunities for trekking and white water rafting.
It’s ideal for travelers seeking to get in touch with their spiritual side, Bartok is ideal. There are several ashrams here who organize meditation. Barkot has remained clean and untouched by new developments down to lack of publicity.
Barkot can be found in the vicinity of Yamunotri, Yamunotri Dham is the most important place to see near Barkot. Other attractions recommended for tourists include, there are also many other places to see near Barkot such as the Chandaneshwar shiv mandir, Surya Kund, Laxminarayan temple, Barkot sunset point.
The best times to visit are between March and October are pretty idyllic when traveling to Barkot. The temperatures during these months are moderate and no extremes of temperatures prevail which is why traveling becomes comfortable enough.
However, one needs to avoid the month of July as the arrival of rains can make the region too landslide prone. Beyond October, the weather becomes too chilly and unbearable.
Day-4: Yamunotri- Janki Chatti – Hanuman Chatti – Barkot - Yamunotri
Tours across Yamunotri are extremely common from a drive to Hanuman Chatti. Roads there is frequently narrow and choppy terrain from Hanuman Chatti onwards, it’s common to take a local Jeep to reach Janki Chatti around 15 minutes from there. Day-6: Gaurikund – Kedarnath

Day-8: Badrinath
