Mount Yunam Peak (6111 M) is a Himalayan peak located in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. This peak is best alternative of Mt.Kangyatse II to avoid the rush. Mt. Yunam Is a remarkable Peak for every Indian Trekker who have good experience in the field of Trekking and want to achieve Six Thousand meter altitude or want an entry in Himalayan Mountaineering Expedition. You can summit this Six Thousand plus peak without any Mountaineering Course or any other expedition experience. From Base Camp to summit there is a good elevation so it will require a good physical strength or having experience at least four thousand meter in trekking.
This expedition gives us an exhilarating view of different Tals (Deepak, Suraj), Different passes ( Rohtang Pass, Baralacha La), Different rivers and streams ( Bhaga river and many small stream crossing), Morain crossing, Rock and Snow patches. At the Summit gives us a stunning view of C.B. (Chandra Bhaga) and Mulkilla range, Lahaul valley and stretching view of Zaskar Range. Overall, the Mount Yunam expedition is a challenging but rewarding climb for experienced mountaineers who are looking for an adventure in the stunning Himalayan Mountains.
Day 1: Arrive Manali
Arrival at Manali and meet our team and other expedition members. You can visit near about places if you want by yours. You will spend the night in hotel in Manali.

Day 2: Manali – Keylong (3200 M)
Today morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Keylomng via Atal Tunnel. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Keylong – Bharatpur (4480 M)
You will drive from Keylong to Bharatpur which is approx 80 Kms. On the way of Bharatpur you will enjoy the view of Deepak Tal and Suraj Tal, Passing through Baralacha La (pass). Upon arrival set up the tent for an overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Day for Acclimatization (5200 M)
This day will be used as an acclimatization day. You will go for an Acclimatization hike and come back to Bharatpur for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Bharatpur – Base Camp (5200 M)
Today morning after breakfast starts trekking to the Base camp on the way you will cross small stream of river. Trek is easy and takes 3 to 4 hrs. Upon arrival set us the campsite at base camp for overnight stay.

Day 6: Base Camp (5200 M)
You will spend this day for acclimatizing and doing training exercises with your team around base camp. Briefing session for summit day and basic mountaineering safety and equipment handling. Overnight stay in base camp.

Day 7: BC – Summit (6,110 M) – BC
Summit Attempt You will start your summit attempt, by climbing through the South Ridge to reach the summit. The climb will take 8-11 Hrs and will require basic mountaineering skills. The summit view from Mount Yunam offers a breathtaking panorama of the C.B. Range and the Mulkilla Range. You will camp base to base camp for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Buffer Day
Weather in the mountains can be quite unpredictable. Hence, you may be subjected to encountering bad weather conditions during this journey. So, a day will be reserved by the Shikhar team in advance in case severe weather conditions hamper the summit schedule.

Day 9: Base Camp – Bharatpur – Manali
Today, you will trek back to Bharatpur. So you can revisit the memory of your whole expedition once again. Since we have to retrace a long journey back to where we started this adventure. When you reach Bharatpur, you will hop on your transport vehicle to follow the same scenic and picturesque drive back to Manali. We will drop you at Manali bus station. Here our expedition will be over with full of memories and experience.
