Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva are both most worshipped gods in Hinduism, and highly respected, so offering prayers to them are of high significance to the Hindus. Badrinath and Kedarnath are the two most significant shrines of Hindus dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. According to Hindu mythology, these two destinations are famous temples with a rich past and great importance in the religion. Thus, it attracts a flock of devotees throughout the year from all around the world.

These seven nights and eight days' itinerary takes the travelers to a complete spiritual tour of Badrinath Kedarnath Do Dham Yatra. The major highlights of this trip are Haridwar, Rishikesh, Guptkasi, Gaurikund, Kedarnath, Joshimath, Badrinath, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. The journey begins with a dip on a holy Ganges river in Haridwar. It is a 19 km of a trek to Kedarnath from Sonpryag. And, a drive to Badrinath where tourists can worship not only Lord Vishnu but also enjoy nature's beauty. This trip is a blend of spirituality, holiness, and unparalleled beauty of nature.

Program

Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi

On your arrival at Haridwar, our representative will welcome and drive to Guptkashi via Devoprayag and Rudraprayag. On route, you can see the gorgeous river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river flows from Kedarnath. Driving beside the river, we will reach Guptkashi. Where we will visit Ardh Narishwar Temple. After arriving at Guptkasti, we will check into the hotel and keep our belongings. Guptkashi is at an elevation of 1319 meters within the Mandakini river valley in the Himalayan range. The evening is free for visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple, or you can simply go for a walk around Guptkashi and enjoy its beautiful surroundings.

The name Guptkashi means "Hidden Benares." There is a myth that, when the Pandava brothers were in search of a view of Lord Shiva, initially, Lord Shiva hid at Guptkashi. But, later fled from them up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. The Kedarnath priests stay in Guptkashi during the winter months. Kedarnath temple closes in the winter, and the portrait of Kedarnath moves through Gupt Kashi to make the way towards Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter. Besides, you can witness the gorgeous views of snow-covered Chaukhamba mountain peak in the morning times. The Guptkashi region is blessed with pleasant weather during summer. However, the temperature gets cold in winter. We will spend the night at Guptkashi.

Day 2: Guptkashi-Kedarnath-Guptkashi

After breakfast, we will leave for Kedarnath. Situated right in the middle of a vast flat terrain, Kedarnath is a magnificent sight that is surrounded by domineering snowcapped mountain peaks. The Kedarnath temple is located near to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. Adi Shankaracharya founded the current temple in the 8th century. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, one can see the giant statue of the Nandi Bull standing outside the temple as its guard. The temple's interior portrays scenes from mythology and figures of several gods and goddesses. Visiting Kedarnath, we return to Guptkashi and stay overnight at Hotel in Guptkashi.

By helicopter: In the morning, our representative will take you to your booked Helipad. After you return, we will transfer you to the hotel in Guptkashi.

By Trek: After breakfast, the driver will transfer you to Sonprayag from where you will take a local jeep for Gaurikund. Gaurikund is the place from where your trek to Kedarnath begins. After praying at Kedarnath temple, you retrace the path back to Sonprayag. From Somprayag, you will take a vehicle back to Guptkashi.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is a beautiful spot located behind the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to mythology, the Pandavas, after winning over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of killing their brothers and wanted the blessings of Lord Shiva for reclamation. He evaded them time and again, and while fleeing, took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. While Pandavas followed him, he submerged in the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining parts of Lord Shiva emerged at four other places that are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, face at Rudranath, the belly at Madmaheshwar, and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar, which along with Kedarnath, are often known as Panch Kedar.

Weather in Kedarnath: The weather remains cold for most of the year in Kedarnath, owing to its high altitude. Summer is cool here. However, winter is a bit severe. During summer, the temperature is around 20degree Celsius. And, winter can fall as low as 0degree Celsius with mercury falling. Due to the harsh winter, many tourists avoid the area during the winter season.

Day 3: Kedarnath-Sonprayag-Rudraprayag

Early morning, the driver will transfer you to Sonprayag from where you will take a local jeep for Gaurikund. Gourikund is the place from where your trek to Kedarnath begins. After praying at Kedarnath temple, you retrace the path back to Sonprayag. From Somprayag, you will take a vehicle to Rudraprayag.

Day 4: Rudraprayag- Badrinath

After breakfast, we will drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, you need to check in the Hotel in Badrinath. Along the route, we will visit Shri Narshing Temple at Joshimath, and Adi Shankracharya Math, then proceed to Shree Badrinath Ji. In the evening, we will trip to Mana Village, Byas Gufa, Bheem Pul, Saraswati River, Ganesh Temple, engage in evening Aarti at Badrinath, and spend the night at Hotel in Badrinath.

Badrinath is a sacred town lying in an altitude of 3113 meters in Chamoli district in the Uttarakhand state in India. Badrinath is well-known for people paying a visit from all around the world to get a blessing from God and goddesses. It is also mostly known as the Char Dham pilgrimage of Hindu pilgrims. It attracts millions of people across the globe. The city itself has been named after the temple, Badrinath.

Tapt Kund: Tapt Kund is often known as the natural thermal springs lying on the banks of river Alaknanda. It is a tradition to take a bath in this spring before entering the Badrinath Temple.

Narad Kund: Narad Kund is a recess in the river near the Tapt Kund, which forms as a pool from where the Badrinath's statue was found.

Mata Murty Temple: This famous temple is devoted to the mother of Lord Badrinath. Shesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple, and Charanpaduka are some of the globally renowned temples that you can visit here.

Mana Village: An Indo-Mongolian tribe inhabits Mana Village. It is also the last India village before Tibet.

Bhim Pul: There lies a vast rock forming a natural bridge over the raging Saraswati River, right beside the well-known Mana Village. You can get a mesmerizing view of water raging down through the narrow passage under the rock from this rock formation. There is a belief that this formation was placed by Bhim, the second eldest among the Pandava brothers. Thus, the structure got the name Bhum Pul, where Bhim is the name of a Pandava brother, and Pul means "bridge."

Vyas Gufa(cave): Near the Mana village, there is a rock cave where the Ved Vyas wrote and composed the Mahabharata and other Pauranik commentaries.

Weather in Badrinath: The temperature in Badrinath will be around 8degree Celsius to 18-degree Celsius during summer. So, warm clothes are required all around the year in this region. Winter is very chilly, with an average temperature of 5degree Celsius. The winter in Badrinath is mostly snowy. However, the place is not accessible during winters due to the severe climate conditions

Day 5: Badrinath-Joshimath-Rudraprayag

In the morning, we will have a delicious breakfast, and drive towards Rudraprayag through Joshimath. En route, we will visit the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, then drive towards Rudraprayag. At Rudraprayag, we will check into the hotel and rest. Rudraprayag is one of the five convergences of the Alaknanda River. It is a confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini.

The weather in Rudraprayag is generally hot in summer, where the temperature ranges from 35-40 degrees Celsius. The winters are pleasant in the daytime; however, the nights are quite cold, with temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 5degree.

Day 6: Rudraprayag- Haridwar

After breakfast at Rudraprayag, we move towards Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also famous as 'place of sages.' It is a religious town on the bank of Ganga. The Shivalik range of the Himalayas surrounds it on three sides. Locate at twenty-four kilometers far from Haridwar; the place lies in the lap of Himalayas. The whole town is bounded by the scenic beauty of the lush green hills and with beautiful Ganges River flowing on its three sides. Rishikesh is not only a pilgrimage center but is also closely associated with the Ramayana. It is believed that when Raibhya Rishi did harsh penances, God appeared by the name of "Hrishikesh" and this area henceforth came to be known as Rishikesh. We will visit Rishikesh Temples, Laxman Jhulla, and Ram Jhulla before reaching Haridwar.

Named after Lord Vishnu, Rishikesh is a sacred city for Hindu people. Rishikesh lies in the base of the Himalaya in northern India. It is also popular globally as the yoga center of the world and is home to many world-famous ashrams. With a considerable number of ashrams and all kinds of yoga and meditation classes, Rishikesh takes pride as the 'Yoga Capital of the World.' Besides, the place is gaining popularity as a white water rafting center and a gateway to treks in the Himalaya. It is also a gateway point to many significant religious sites like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

Day 7: Haridwar to Delhi

After having breakfast, we will drive for Delhi. Dropping at Delhi airport / station / home / hotel.
