Beas Kund trek is one of the most beautiful short treks in the Himachal region. The trekking from Manali will take you through the famous Solang Valley. The trek starts from Dhundi and goes to Beas kund via Bandak thach over a 3 days period of time. You will start your journey from Manali by car and start the hiking thoward Beas Kund from Dhundi.
Day 01: Arrival at Beas Kund trek base camp at old manali
Arrive at Manali by 11 am in morning. Once arrived, we plan for an acclimatization walk around the old Manali, this will include a local trek cum sightseeing i.e. Hadimba Temple, Manu temple, Vasistha Temple and Nature walk along with an orientation session in the evening about Do's and Don’ts while trekking which will be like a social mingling of the trekkers.
Day 02: Drive from Beas kund trek base camp to Dhundi | Trek from Dhundi to Bakarthach
After Breakfast, you will drive to Dhundi followed by a trek to Bakarthach from Dhundi. The trek level again ascends from easy to intermediate standards, but the picturesque view and the landscape makes you forget everything else. In the midway, You will find water streams, pahadi Gujjars, Gaddis who visit mountains to feed there cattles, folks and herds. You will have our lunch somewhere in the middle of the trek alongside water streams. At Bakarthach, tents will be allotted on the sharing basis and dinner will be served.
Day 03: Trek from Bakarthach to Beas kund and Drive back to Manali.
Post early breakfast, you will begin your trek to Beas Kund, it will be a 2- 3 hours trek to the Beas kund, and will have your lunch back at the Bakarthach.
Post Lunch, you will begin your trek back to Dhundi and from Dhundi it will be a drive to Manali, from where you will be heading to your departure destinations. You will reach Manali by 6 PM in the evening.

Old Manali
The Old Manali village is at a distance of 22 KM from Beas Kund. Contrary to New Manali, Old Manali is quite ancient and exotic in ambiance. Old Manali is less-crowded, and you will meet a lot of foreigners here. Many of the houses are made up of wood which gives an old charm to this sleepy village.
Shanag
Shanag is a tiny village in Himachal Pradesh. The village is close to its roots and is not commercialized like other parts of Manali. It has some gorgeous meadows for your relaxation. It is also known for beautiful apple blossoms that bloom here during spring.
Burua
Burua is another less commercialized village in Kullu district. It is small in size, and there are not much restaurants and accommodations present here. Burua is close to the nature, and you can just relax here. The village of Burua is an off-beat destination in Manali.
Solang
Solang village is quite near to the infamous Solang Valley. Solang village is not popular among the travellers due to being overshadowed by the happening Solang Valley. But if you are in the mood to enjoy a few moments of solitude amidst the nature, then Solang village is the perfect destination for you.
Beas Kund Trek Difficulty
Beas Kund Trek gives the perfect trekking experience to the beginners, as the distance covered in this trek is small. You need proper trekking equipment along with food items to keep yourself active throughout the trek. You have to get used to the high altitude, as you may feel nauseous and face some breathing issues.
The route of Beas Kund Trek is filled with resplendent meadows, tall trees and gigantic mountains. The trek starts from Solang Valley. This valley is famous for its paragliding and skiing activities. Wide stretches of greenery are spread across Solang valley which makes it a famous destination for picnic. During the trek, you’d pass through two alluring meadows. One is Dhundi. Bright yellow flowers bloom across Dhundi during the spring season. The other one is Bakar Thach. These meadows are among the less explored parts of Manali, and will surely captivate your senses.
During the trek, you’d have to cross some beautiful streams. It enhances the adventure and excitement level of the trek. The route to Beas Kund also has some tiny huts on its way. From Bakar Thach, you head towards the Beas Kund. The entire route is filled with wonderful views of the mountains that are covered with lush green grass and tall trees. There is not much variation in temperature from the beginning till the end of the trek, but you may experience significant drop in temperature during the nights.

Beas Kund Trek can be attempted in any season. During the summers, the weather is pleasant with the temperature being neither too hot nor too cold and ranging from 10 to 25 degree Celsius. During the winters, the trekking route is covered with snow. It makes it an adventurous journey for the trekkers. The temperature ranges from 0 to 10 degree Celsius in this season.
