The Kuari pass, located in the heart of GARHWALI HIMALAYAS, derives its name from “GODDESS NANDA DEVI” considered to be the “MOUNTAIN GODDESS”, and it offers unseen sceneries to relish. As with every Himalayan trek, the route is filled with blooming forests of Oak and Rhododendron trees. Interspersed with lush green meadows, the entry to forests presents stunning views. Trekkers can interact with the local shepherds. These giant peaks seen, from the top of the KAURI which means – “A GATEWAY FOR HIMALAYAS”. The first day with views of Mount Nanda Devi, Dronagiri and other peaks, all lined in a row is a delight to watch with sky high mountains!. Trekkers can justifiably feel ‘on top of the world’ with campsites on mountain peaks. The Chitrakantha campsite in the midst of the dense forests or Khullara camps, with the backdrop of beautiful peaks is a truly refreshing feeling and a rare occasion to rejoice during your Kuari Pass Trek.
During the six day adventure trek, one can see some of the holy places of historic significance in the Himalayas, starting from Haridwar to Joshimath. Watch the convergence of three rivers of Rudraprayag, Devaprayag and Alaknanda at Joshimath. Chitrakantha and Chaukhamba peaks of the Himalayas present a visual delight. From Chitrakanta trekkers reach the Tali top for another heavenly experience. The lush green meadows, and the clear cut tracks of the Tapovan, in the midst of alpine meadows , the majestic peaks of Nanda Devi, Rishi Ganga River and the Himalayas from the Kauri pass presents an opportunity to relish the endless beauty of this region. At Auli, it is a totally a different feeling – this being the best destination for skiing.

Ideal Time | The best time to visit this place is March-June (summer). The region is warm and pleasant with clear and sunny skies. During monsoon June – September the region receives heavy rainfall and the roads are blocked with risk of landslides. |

Communication | At Auli and Gorson Bugyal, all telecommunication operators have good connectivity. In the mountains trekkers get only intermittent signals which may be completely lost. In case of emergency only satellite communication works. |

Day 01: Haridwar (314 M) to Joshimath (2041 M) Drive 276Km/9hrs
Arrive in Haridwar and meet the Himalayan holiday guide (pickup point given by HH in email). Later, start your drive. The real Himalayan journey starts here with curves, mountains, trees, and little unpleasant roads. It will be another long journey of 9 hours, but this time the scenic beauty will keep your complete attention. There will be a river running parallel to the road, and we can have halts at five different but famous junctions of the holy river Ganga: Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnapryag, Nandapryag, and Vishnupryag. Evening reach at Joshimath, overnight stays at hotel.

Day 02: Joshimath to Tali Forest Camp (3362 M) Drive 12Km/ 45M, Trek 8km/7hrs
After breakfast, drive to Dhak Village. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the starting point of the trek. Follow the instructions of your guide. The trek trail will take us deeper into the forest of Tali. This will be a pleasant trail. There will be more enjoyment and less tiredness. This trek experience will be memorable, as it has everything from Himalayan greenery to deep, dark forests to beautiful snow peaks around, like Ghori and Hathi Peak. Afternoon, when we reach the camp sight, our team has already fixed our tent and is ready with delicious food. The campsite is right in the middle of the forest area. In winter, the same forest has snow-covered trees, paths, and snow all around at this camping place. Overnight in the Himalayan Holidays Tent.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 03: Tail Forest Camp to Kurari Pass (12,516) and back to Tali Forest Camp Trek 12km/7hrs
This morning will again be an early one, as the trek will take 10–11 hours. You need to gear up, as altitude will increase thick snow beds, a trail on a ridge with powerful wind, and less water resources. The first halt will be after a climb of 3.5 km at Khullara Top, where little rest is a necessity as afterwards snow beds present challenges. But all discomfort and restlessness vanish when the spectacular view of all the peaks together comes around. Kedarnath, Kedarnath Dome, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Ghori, Hathi, Kalanka, and many more make it a magnificent and magical view. After clicking some pictures or spending some time at the top, we trek back to the Tail Forest Camp for an overnight stay.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 4: Tail Forest Camp to Joshimath (via Gurson Bugyal & Auli)
After breakfast, we start our trek back towards Auli, the famous skiing capital of India. The serenity of this valley is spellbinding. Auli is one of the most preferred skiing places in South Asia. Reach Auli Ski Resort and start driving to Joshimath. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Joshimath to Haridwar
After the mesmerizing adventure trek to Kurari Pass, you can plan your stay as per your timing. Morning, after breakfast checkout from the hotel, our cab will drop you off at the Rishikesh bus stand or railway station. If you are not time-bound, we can suggest keeping one day for Rishikesh, as it is known best for adventure activities like river rafting, jumping in rivers from cliffs, or can have peacetime and join some yoga or mediation.
