Bhagirathi II, III, and I (left to right, 6512m, 6454m, and 6856m) from the west. The highest peak of the Bhagirathi Group forms a complex and topographically complicated massif. Bhagirathi Parbat has three major peaks. It stands at and dominates the end of the valley leading up to Gaumukh, which is the end of the Gangotri Glacier and the source of the river Ganga. The upper part of the river Ganga is also called Bhagirathi, and both the mountain and the river are named after King Bhagirath.

Program

DAY 01: ARRIVE UTTARKASHI           

Evening arrives in Uttarkashi, and we check in to our hotel, Shikhar Nature Resort, meet the Himalayan Holidays expedition guide, and other team members. Overnight stay in resort.
Meals: Dinner

DAY 02: UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI (3048M)         DRIVE 95 KMS / 4 HRS
Morning after breakfast, we start our drive to Gangotri. On arrival, check-in at your hotel or guesthouse. Later, visit Gangotri Temple and explore the surrounding area. Overnight stay in a hotel or guest house.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 03: CHIRBASA – BHOJBASA (3792M)        TREK 011 KM
Morning after breakfast trek to Bhojbasa (3792 m). From Bhojbasa, you can have a majestic view of the Bhagirathi group of peaks. On arrival, set up camp for an overnight stay.

DAY 04 :BHOJBASA - GAUMUKH (3892M) – NANDANVAN/BASE CAMP (4340M)    TREK
Today we gradually walk up to the Gaumukh, “the source of the Ganges,” a beautiful walk with views of Mt. Shivling (6543 m) and Mt. Bhagirathi (6856 m). Further, proceed to a little height towards Nandanvan. Across the Gangotri glacier, cutting across the glacial moraine, you shall reach the spacious alpine meadow of Nandan Van, at the juncture of Chatrungi Glacier and Gangotri Glacier, and the base of Baghirathi I (6856 m), II (6512 m), and III (6454 m). You should also have views of Mt. Kedar Dome (6831 m), Karcha Kund (6617 m), Kedarnath (6940 m), and Mt. Meru (6672 m) across the Gangotri Glacier. Overnight in tents.

DAY 05-16: BASE CAMP – SUMMIT – BASE CAMP
The next 12 days are for acclimatization, establishing higher camps, and summiting Mt. Bhagirathi II (6512 m).
Meals: All meals with high-altitude food

DAY 17: BASE CAMP – BHOJBASA (4460 M)         TREK: 10 KM
Morning after breakfast trek to Bhojbasa. Overnight in tents.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 18: BHOJBASA – GANGOTRI - UTTARKASHI        TREK: 9 KM/DRIVE 95 KMS
The last day of the trekking. Return to Gangotri. On arrival, drive to Uttarkashi. En-route visit to the hot water spring at Gangnani, evening arrival in Uttarkashi, and check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast checkout from the hotel.

Inclusion Details

  • Booking of Mt. Bhagirathi II with the relevant authority, the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation), and the booking fee.
  • Accommodation on DBL/Twin Sharing Rooms in Shikhar Nature Resort and campsite as per program.

  • National park fee & Expedition fee of state Govt. Uttarakhand.
  • Accommodation in tents during Approach March.

Exclusion

  • Personal clothing and gear required for climbing by the clients.
  • Any personal high-altitude porter.
  • Personal expenses such as table drinks, room services items, laundry, telephone calls at hotels or tips, etc.
    Climbing equipment.
  • Any additional expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in trip program due to or circumstances such as weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots, etc.
    Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents, or loss of goods.
  • Camera Fees.
  • Personal Belongings such as Sleeping Bags, walking sticks, etc.

Note: Please ensure your insurance covers you for the heights you are likely to attain and for helicopter rescue as well. When you have chosen and booked your insurance, please provide Himalayan holidays with your insurer's name, their 24-hour emergency telephone number, and your policy number with them.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Charges: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing in the name of Himalayan Holidays.
    For cancellations made 60 days prior to the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of the invoice.
  • For cancellations made within 60 to 30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 50% of the invoice. For cancellations made within 30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 100% of the invoice.
  • In certain cases, the cancellation policy (including conditions applicable to the advance deposit made or required for holding the reservation) may differ and would be applicable as per the cancellation policy of that hotel or service provider. This will be charged in addition to the cancellation policy.

Unused Services and Refunds

  • No refund will be made for any unused services or other arrangements due to any changes in schedule made by passengers while traveling. However, in certain cases, the refund will be considered as per the policy of the carrier, hotel, tour company, or other supplier used for providing services.
  • Refund requests must be made within 2 weeks of the completion of the trip.
  • If there are any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of hotel stays, transportation, meals, etc., an extra bill will be raised. Neither Himalayan Holidays. nor the participating suppliers or hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses.

Responsibility, Liability
All the packages are sold under the business management of Himalayan Holidays, and they are in no way considered the principal or operator of the subject services. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require. Neither Himalayan Holidays nor the participating suppliers or hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses due to loss, delay, or damage caused by accident, illness, bad weather, strikes or riots, roadblocks, etc.

Governing Law
This condition and each term shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India without reference to conflict of laws principles, and disputes arising in relation hereto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
