Mount Nun is an aspiring mountaineer's paradise who trod down this gorgeous peak with a wish to fulfil another adventure stored up in their bucket list. The altitude of Mount Nun is about 7,135 m above sea level and is one of the highest peaks of the Himalayan range stretched on the Indian side of the Line of Control in Ladakh. However, it shares the sublime beauty of the Himalayas with its twin peak, Mt. Kun, which is also 7,077 m high.
This Nun Kun massif, along with Barmal, White Needle, and Pinnacle Peak, is located near the Suru valley in the Zanskar range. Every year, thousands of trained mountaineers take up this expedition with the hope of conquering something beautiful and mesmerizing. And right when they set foot in Leh, their journey to witness gray, aerial glaciers—stiff, verdant slopes—glassy cliffs—and the panoramic view of the Zanskar range starts.
Note that the expedition is only for experienced mountaineers because, during the technical ascend to the summit, one goes through extreme and unpredictable weather conditions and also walks down rough terrain for which one must be mentally and physically fit. But don’t fret; Himalayan Holidays will help you taste this journey with ease. Here at Himalayan Holidays, you will be provided with physical fitness and psychological training to withstand all the challenges during this journey.
